Around The World Embassy Tour  

More than 40 embassies representing six continents open their doors to visitors. Travel the world as you experience the food, art, dance, fashion, and music of different countries. The 2014 date will either be the first or second weekend in May - confirmation of exact date is pending. Complimentory shuttle service is provided in Washington. Embassies open from 10 am - 4 pm.

Cherry Blossom Cruise  

Enjoy the sites of Washington, DC from the Potomac. This unforgettable lunch cruise aboard the Odyssey includes a narration of the Washington monuments and affords a breathtaking view of the cherry blossoms. Grounds for Sculpture Museum  

This trip was voted as one of Harford's best, so if you've never taken this tour, don't miss the opportunity. Grounds for Sculpture is an amazing outdoor sculpture garden comprised of over two hundred and forty large-scale contemporary sculptures. It includes works by Johnson, as well as renowned and emerging American and international artists. You will have a guided tour (about an hour) and then have ample time to explore on your own. Lunch, on your own, is available at the cafe or at Rat's Restaurant (reservations highly recommended). Wear your walking shoes and dress for the weather. Course fee includes admission to the grounds, guided tour, transportation, and academic escort.

Philadelphia Flower Show  

The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is the world’s oldest and largest indoor flower show, attracting more than 260,000 people annually. The Show features large-scale gardens, elaborate landscapes, and over-the-top floral creations. Visitors to the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show are treated to fabulous design, live entertainment, culinary demonstrations, gardening how-to workshops, and lectures by experts.

Winterthur and the Costumes of Downton Abbey  

Visit the home and gardens of Winterthur to experience how the du Ponts lived in America. Cap the day viewing the costumes of Downton Abbey, an original exhi-bition of exquisite designs from the series. Forty historically inspired cos-tumes from the show will be displayed and supplemented by photographs and vignettes inspired by the fictional program and by the real life at Win-terthur. After the guided tour, enjoy lunch and an exploration of the magnficent gardens. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Much of the terrain is hilly, although ample resting sites are available.
