This is the ultimate sports enthusiast camp! Every minute of camp is filled with sports related activities in our newly renovated Susquehanna Center as well as our turf field. All Sports campers will participate in swimming, handball, basketball, dodge ball, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, floor hockey, kickball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, whiffle ball, and more. Lunch is included with the camp registration. All participants must be able to swim.
Are you ready to stretch your world and experience Harford County with campers of diverse abilities and interests? This week-long outdoor experience is for youth of all abilities, including those with and without disabilities. You will kayak, fish, swim, explore archery, hike in nature, and most probably try something new! Each day, we will be exploring different Harford County locations. Each activity will provide the opportunity for team building and learning about fellow campers. Campers must bring their own peanut-free lunch. Limited spaces are available.
More information about camp and camp locations will be sent in early May to those who have registered.
This camp is designed for youngsters, ages 8-14, with little or no previous golf experience. This week-long instructional clinic helps participants develop the basics of the golf swing and introduces them to the rules, etiquette, and history of the game.
Campers will participate in speed and agility training along with technical skill training in dribbling, passing and shooting. Small sided games and scrimmages to further develop all skills necessary to take your game to the next level as well as improve positional and game awareness. Come enjoy a fun, yet challenging environment for players to enjoy and get better at the same time!
A yoga class specifically designed for teens focusing on blending the mind, body and heart connection as well as an opportunity to enhance strength, flexibility and assist in relieving the stresses of teenage life. Each yoga practice will incorportate movement trhough yoga postures (asanas), balance and breath work (pranayama) as well as inspirational mantras, meditations and private journaling in a supportive environment. Bring a yoga mat, personal journal and pen to class.
Emphasis will be placed on learning and using all strokes: forehand, backhand, ground stroke, volleying, and overhead serves. Last day will stress match play and games. HCC men's and women's tennis coach George Budelis will conduct the camps. Harford's teams have been top ranked contenders for over a decade under the direction of George Budelis. He has coached multiple All-Americans and top ranked players. Campers must supply their own rackets.
