Do you have a passion for the theatre, working with a group, and having fun? Harford Imagination Theatre gives students the opportunity to expand their creative talents while gaining a greater understanding and love for the performing arts. Instruction will cover how to audition, voice coaching, dance and body movement, acting and projection, costuming and make-up, and improvisation, as well as the technical aspects of set construction, lighting, props, and special effects. Students will have the opportunity to perform and work on a production for the "Family Finale," which will be held on the last Thursday of the program.
Lights! Curtain! Act! In this dynamic theatre camp, students take center stage as they engage in the marvels of live theatre. During the course of this workshop, students act their way through a series of high energy drama games, improv, and scripted dialogue that they help write. What is more, the students learn the art of stage character make up and costume design! At the conclusion of camp, the students perform for family and friends. Don't let your child miss out on a week filled with excitement, fun, and discovery.
Young people interested in acting and theatre will gain instruction in basic stage movement, character development, concentration, voice projection, and character delivery. Students work as an ensemble to act out short skits, create dramatic situations, and perform a short play during the final class period. Students work together to use sound and visual stage effects and create basic scenery and props.
