Calling all adventurers . . . experience 5 different adventures in one week! Biking, paddle boarding, hiking, swimming and finding solutions on a ropes course will be among the fun we get into! Please pack a peanut-free lunch.
This is the ultimate sports enthusiast camp! Every minute of camp is filled with sports related activities in our newly renovated Susquehanna Center as well as our turf field. All Sports campers will participate in swimming, handball, basketball, dodge ball, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, floor hockey, kickball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, whiffle ball, and more. Lunch is included with the camp registration. All participants must be able to swim.
Explore the world of visual arts in this fun one-week session. Campers will use a variety of mediums to cultivate their artistic talents with age-appropriate activities. We will end the week with an art show for students to display original art work for family and friends!
Not sure what you want to do this summer? Consider joining our staff at HCC as a CIT--Counselor in Training. CITs will shadow aides and learn important information on how to be a leader. Students enrolled will also earn their CPR certificate. All candidates interested in this program must have their applications in by May 2 and will be notified by May 19 if they are accepted into the program. Spaces are limited.
Are you ready to stretch your world and experience Harford County with campers of diverse abilities and interests? This week-long outdoor experience is for youth of all abilities, including those with and without disabilities. You will kayak, fish, swim, explore archery, hike in nature, and most probably try something new! Each day, we will be exploring different Harford County locations. Each activity will provide the opportunity for team building and learning about fellow campers. Campers must bring their own peanut-free lunch. Limited spaces are available.

Campers will have the opportunity to test Bernoulli’s principle, Newton’s laws and explore how these science ideas, as well as others, influence our everyday lives. From model cars, planes, and catapults to exploring electricity, we’ll explore (and play) the day away without even realizing how much we’ve learned!
Up, up, and away! Campers will use supplied kits, glue, and a bit of patience to build beautiful models of flight. While the glue is drying, we’ll delve into folded flights of fancy and even build kites for those warm summer days!
Ever want to perform? If you are not afraid to "do your thing," this class is for you! We will be exploring the performing arts in this exciting one week session. Students will have classes in acting, singing, dancing, and learn about what happens behind the scenes. Explore your talents and put on a short play or variety show at the end of class for your family and friends! The performances from this class may even be aired on Harford Cable Network!
Interested in Veterinary Sciences? Love animals? This is a great opportunity to explore the many career opportunities that would allow you to pursue your passion! Explore the rewarding and sometimes WILD world of working with animals. This class will investigate exotic animals, wildlife rehabilitation, Pet First Aid and CPR and animal massage. Students will even get a behind the scenes hospital tour of an Animal Emergency Hospital and Plumpton Park Zoo! This is just the beginning of all the fun things we have planned!! Join us for a great week AND maybe even a new career path! Students will be required to fill out additional materials for field trips, etc.
Campers will start by building a basic wind-powered car. Then, students will be challenged to use basic tools and schematic drawings to assemble a variety of solar and electric cars. Troubleshooting skills will be honed as the students navigate their way through diagrams and directions. Lunch provided.
This one-week jazz camp is under the direction of the amazing Mr. Benny Russell. Students should be prepared to work as an ensemble and to sharpen their improvisational skills. Lunches will be provided daily; however, students should pack a mid-morning and afternoon snack. The instruments that are involved are saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, bass, drums, and vocals. All students are required to have their own instruments as well as The Real Book in their appropriate keys.

(Sponsored by Harford Cable Network) Learn some of the many skills that go into creating some of your favorite television shows from actual television journalists. This program is hands-on; campers discover by doing! You can expect to develop both creative and technical skills, including camera work, story creation, and a knowledge of work both in the studio and out on location. The final project will include taping a live performance for future airing on Harford Cable Network.
