Each dancer has their own unique movement style. In this class youth of diverse abilities will focus on developng a common dance language based on each individual's adapted skills. From this a collaborative choreography can emerge. Through creative movement our goal is to improve communication skills along with promoting health and wellbeing; foster positive social interactions while improving confidence; and empower studens through music and movement. This comes from being glexible, creative, and patient. Ages 11-18
Children will stretch their imaginations as well as their toes as they dance their way through a storybook collage of fairy tales. Children will explore elements of creative movement, modern, ballet, and jazz and construct simple costumes and props in a daily craft activity. Look forward to an enchanting dance presentation for family and friends. Attire: Leotard, tights, and ballet slippers or socks. Bring a snack and drink daily.
Children will learn the fundamentals of dance through rhythm excerises, stretching and basic movements of ballet, tap, and jazz. This class will allow your child to appreciate the beauty of music and dance. No previous dance experience required. Attire: leotard and tights, or snug fit clothing that allows for movement, and jazz or ballet shoes.
Our beginner's musical theater class will introduce you to the fundamental techniques needed to perform, and is the perect way to explore the magic of musicals. Classes are taught in a fun and supportive environment so don't worry if you feel a bit nervous. Most ofo the time you will be singing in a group, although if you do want to leap intot he potlight there's the opportunity for some solos too! Rehearse and hone material before an informal showcase for friends and family.
