For those needing re-certification as public swimming pool
and spa operators. Refresher necessary every three years to
retain license. Must show current pool operator's card to
instructor. Upon successful completion, students will
receive an updated national pool/spa operator's
certification recognized by Maryland State Health
Department and Harford County Health Department.

Students must be 16 years old by last day of class and will be required to present proof of age with a photo ID. on the first day of class. To be eligible for this course, participants must be 15 years old on or before the last session. The participant will be required to pass a pre-course test which includes treading water for 2 minutes without hands, a 300 yard swim and swimming 20 yards (freestyle or breaststroke), surface diving to 10 feet, retrieving a 10 pound object and swimming it back to the original starting point. CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification is part of this course. No previous CPR or First Aid is required. Successful exit requirements for this course are: attending all sessions, 3 water skill scenarios and achieving at least an 80% grade on the 2 written exams. Online textbook included with course fee.
Water aerobics is a pleasurable experience. These aerobic exercises are designed for water and they provide benefits such as body toning, muscle flexibility, and improvement to the cardiovascular system. Besides . . . it's not only healthy, it's fun!!!
