Use bars and plates to isolate and define major muscle groups, stabilize the core and train the cardiovascular system. Barbell workouts are a great complement to a variety of sports specific training programs, and a proven means of increasing physical health. All levels welcome.
Create a supple and relaxed body, increased vitality, and radiant health. Hatha Yoga is a systematic way to attain emotional harmony, physical health, and mental peace. Exercises include body postures, deep relaxation, breath control, cleansing processes, and mental concentration. Bring a towel or mat for exercising. Level I offers a slower progression of very gentle warm-ups and postures with shorter holding periods for the beginner who is mainly interested in relaxation techniques and muscle toning.
Enjoy nature and have fun while hiking locally or in an area further away from the college. Trails could be challenging and inlude difficult to strenuous hills. Hikes will be 5-7 miles at a moderate pace for up to 3.5 hours, including a lunch break. This course also includes a 7-9 mile day hike.

Insanity is high intensity max interval cardio training that does not require any equipment or weights—just the desire to dig deep and push past your limits. Senior adults, as well as those who are medically referred, will learn the value of exercise in the water as a helpful tool for fitness and health and in reducing illness and physical concerns. Improve your levels of cardiovascular fitness and range of motion. Instruction in basic swimming skills, safety precautions, and how to monitor pulse rate will also be covered. Experience general level classes in the Wu Dong style of Tai Chi Chuan. Each class will start with a warm up designed to strengthen and stretch the body, followed by short exercises in Qi Gong. These exercises help to develop the deeper meditative side of Tai Chi. Footwork, balance, and coordination are developed by practicing the four basic stances of Chinese martial arts and the practice of walking Qi Gong. Will also do work with the form and push hands.
