Spring 2015 HCC Conference- Understanding Maryland EXCELS (in Partnership with MSDE). This conference is to help Child Care Directors and Educators better navigate and understand Maryland EXCELS. Well over 200,000 children age 3 and younger now live in Maryland. Join us for an evening to review what early learning guidelines can be used to create a valuable part of a comprehensive, high quality system that contributes to young children’s educational experiences and to their future success. This conference will earn you 3 Core of Knowledge CEUs in Professionalism. Opening Remarks will begin at 8:30am, Sessions will be held from 9am-12:30, and closing remarks will be from 12:30-1pm. Emphasis is on the practical aspects of caring for young children, creating environmental settings instrumental in providing optimal development, and guidelines for selecting quality childcare and educational programs.
